The campus is at maximum capacity for flea markets on holidays and weekends such as Independence Day and Labor Day. There are also special Moonlight Markets on Fridays June 11, August 13, and October 8. The Moonlight Markets are from 5 to 9 p.m. outside on the covered pavilions. These special markets have a unique ambiance with music, food trucks, lights, and select vendors offering handcrafted, unique, and vintage items.
Local MKT Series
The 720 MKT is a recurring outdoor marketplace with a line-up of events throughout the year bringing together, “local makers, bakers, brewers, growers and more” in open-air environments all over North Canton. In August the 720 MKT has teamed up with the North Canton Main Street Festival to offer the SIDESTREET Bar B Q MKT. On Saturday, August 14, this special MKT inside the North Canton Main Street Festival features foodie vendors, BBQ themed vendors, food trucks, craft brew and more. There is also a new MKT series in Plain Township, SIDESTREET MKT at Oakwood Square. The “Saturdays in the Square” series brings an outdoor, tented vendor experience to yet another Stark County community on the first Saturdays of the month May through October, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Down the road, also in Hartville, discover Maize Valley Winery & Craft Brewery. The winery and craft brewery is also an operating, family-owned farm. In the summer, the farm features fields blooming full of beautiful, fragrant lavender. Daily lavender cutting is anticipated to begin in mid-June. For a small fee, visitors can enjoy the pick-it-yourself experience, clipping their own bouquets out on the farm. The lavender field will be open Monday through Saturday from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and again from 5 to 8 p.m., weather permitting. On Saturdays July 3 and July 10, the lavender experience is heightened with the Lavender Festival, featuring around 100 artisans, specialty vendors, and food trucks. Plus, Maize Valley features live music every Friday and Saturday night from 7 to 9 p.m. June through September.
